"Hades 2": Successor to indie hit available in Early Access

With "Hades 2", the sequel to one of the biggest indie hits of recent years is now available in Early Access. You can now play the first levels via Steam or the Epic Games Store. Even though it is not a finished version, it already contains more environments, enemies and opponents as well as fully voiced characters than the first part, explains the US game studio Supergiant Games.
The game also includes a timetable that clearly shows how development will continue and which updates are planned. The game can only be completed with version 1.0, of which it is not yet clear when it will be ready. However, this will not be the case before the end of the year.

Into the underworld
The roguelike game "Hades 2" is the successor to "Hades", which was released in 2020 and won dozens of awards. This release was also preceded by several years of preparation in Early Access, during which the game was improved based on feedback from players. While in "Hades" you control Zagreus, the son of the eponymous god of the Greek underworld, in his attempts to escape from the underworld, Melinoë now takes the opposite route in the sequel. The "princess of the underworld" and sister of Zagreus wants to defeat the god of time Kronos. But first she has to get past hordes of enemies. If she fails, it starts all over again. As in its predecessor, you can unlock permanent upgrades through repeated attempts.
Prior to Early Access, Supergiant Games carried out a technical test of "Hades 2" lasting a few weeks to ensure that the game works on different PCs. The significantly more extensive Early Access should now ensure that the game and the different weapons work in a balanced way and that the extensive story is exciting. Feedback and bug reports from players will be intensively evaluated and used for this purpose, Supergiant Games assures. The first major update is due in a few months. The unfinished game now costs 29 euros, and those who pay this will be able to play the title when it is finished.
